Placenta Encapsulation

Placental encapsulation is the preparation of the placenta for consumption to support postpartum healing. The placenta will be steamed, dehydrated, ground and placed into gelatin capsules for the birthing parent’s consumption. The purpose of Placentophagy is to reintroduce beneficial vitamins, minerals, hormones, proteins and other nutrients to the body following birth. Placentophagy has been known to help restore balance to body functions, prevent “baby-blues” and postpartum depression, increase milk production, shorten postpartum healing time and provide an overall feeling of wellness.
