learn more about madi rose doula
Welcome, friend! Iām Madi.
Iām a full spectrum doula and newborn care specialist living in Newport Beach. Most days youāll find me tucked away at the ocean with a book about birth or babies in hand.
Reproductive health has always been my passion, and prior to becoming a doula I volunteered with a menstrual equity nonprofit in New York City. Having worked in and around hospitals for the past 12 years, I am well-versed in navigating the medical system.
It is my greatest desire that you feel loved and supported from the first moment we connect about your pregnancy all the way through your postpartum period! Oh, and yes, I am actually excited to receive a pic of what you think is your mucus plug at 2am.

Okay, so what is a doula anyway?
A doula is a trained professional who provides non-medical physical and emotional support in addition to continuous, present & grounding communication throughout an array of reproductive events including pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.
Birth doulas works closely with families to equip them with bias-free education and medical advocacy tools to have an empowered and safe birth. This support extends to both physical and emotional support that can include education and practice of comfort measures during labor, creation of an envisioned birth environment, guided meditation, processing birth fears or worries, and other forms of holistic healing.
Postpartum doulas focus on the needs of new parents and their newborn. They nurture the parent(s) by offering practical assistance as well as emotional support, enabling a faster recovery and increased confidence in meeting the challenges of parenthood.
